I have a Sony laptop that had many malware and virus infections. I ran malwarebytes and cleaned everything, I also installed Sunbelt Vipre Premium and ran a deep scan. The system currently lists no infections.
When I open IE8 and try to run windows update it says "the page cannot be displayed" - I can get to other pages in IE, I have google Chrome installed also but nothing loads in chrome.
In the windowsupdate.log I see error 0x80072efe.
Any ideas what I can try next?
