Question : Exchange 2010 Discovery Managment

We would like to test Exchange 2010 Discover Management before looking at 3rd part tools. If we install Exchange 2010 (single server ENV) can we test discovery management using 2010 on mailboxes still residing on Exchange 2007 - or would we have to migrate the mailboxes?

you will have to move them to Exchange 2010 before using discovery and search on those mailboxes
