Question : DPM2007 - attach workgroup servers

I'm confused. Some websites say that you cannot attach a workgroup server to DPM 2007.

Other websites say that you can but you have to install the agent manually. Once instlled manually, you then need to run setdpmserver on the client and  attachproductionserver.ps1 on the dpm server.

So which is it?

If I try and manually and run the command setdpmserver on the workgroup machine, I get the error attached. I tried bothe full FQDN and IP

Answer : DPM2007 - attach workgroup servers

I would say it is not possible. The question has been asked on here before, and the end result was that the DPM agent must be in the same AD forest and domain as the DPM server.
