Question : office outlook slow to change from one contact to the next

Hi all

I have a windows XP PC
I use office 2003
Office is connected to exchange on an SBS 2003 standard edition R2 server

When I change from one contact list to another contact list this change takes a long time to happen
About 20 seconds and  sometimes longer

Also when I’m in my inbox and I change from one  email to the next this could take up to about 20 seconds

This used to happen as soon as I clicked with no delay
This delay started about a week ago

Is there anything I can do to fix this issue

We have a 5520, and to my knowledge you would need a router in front of it giving it an external IP
