Question : How to connect a mac to the internet via windows server 2003 network?

We have a mac that is no longer getting an internet connection from a w2k3 network. the settings in its browser were:

ip: x.x.x.250
subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
router: x.x.x.164 (proxy server and isa)
DHCP: blank ?

I know how to connect windows pcs to the domain but I don't have the slightest idea about how to do it for macs, I am also not very good at networking and its not a subject that I find interesting tbh.

so, how to trouble shoot that?
