Question : iPod Touch disabled due to lost password
My grandson (Tyler-12 yrs old) entered a password into his iPod touch and then forgot it. Then he kept guessing at the password. Eventually, he had to wait an hour between guesses and now there is a red bar at the top of the screen saying "iPod is disabled, connect to iTunes." When I connect his iPod to itunes on the computer where it had been setup itunes recognizes Tyler's iPod but says,"iTunes could not connect to the iPod "tyler's iPod because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPod before it can be used with iTunes."
There is no longer any place I can find either in iTunes or on the iPod to try to enter a password. Is there any way to reset this iPod so that it is usable?
Answer : iPod Touch disabled due to lost password
Restrictions passcode is stored in backup. You will have to restore your iPod Touch again in iTunes but this time do not restore it from a backup but set it up as a new device.
