Question : Windows updates issue

Hi, I seem to be having problems with Windows 7.  I have just installed it on my iMac using Boot Camp and worked fine.  They on Friday I tried to start up to install Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac and it says it needs to configure windows updates but when it reaches 15% it just stops / freezes.

I have tried rebooting and starting it up again but I get the same issue.

I have tried unplugging all USB devices and just left my ethernet cable plugged in.

Any suggestions.

Oh.  I see.  Does it say how many updates are being installed?

Try opening it up in Safe Mode.  You might be able to do a system restore to yesterday or sometime prior to the downloading of the updates.  Then follow the procedure I indicated above to see which update is causing the problem.
