Question : XP Backup and restore system state

Hello,

I have a laptop, I want to make a full system backup incase of disaster so I can restore my system state including all data and everything else exactly as it was.
what is the best way except for creating an image ? I am looking for a user friendly solution.

Is the windows backup any good for that task ?
