Question : Unable to change my network card speed from 10 MB after creating a vm of Windows XP Pro
After creating a vm from an Acronis backup of a Windows XP Pro workstation to a VMware server running ESXi 3.5, I noticed that I am unable to change the network card speed from 10 MB/sec to 100 MB/sec. VMWare server is a Dell PowerEdge 2650 with two GB NICs and is plugged into a Cisco 3560 switch at 100 MB full duplex. VM was created from an old Dell 2400 PC. Have tried changing the NIC settings for 100 full , auto, half duplex etc. but still the NIC defaults to 10 MB while in the VM. The actual servers NIC is properly showing up as 100 MB/sec. Any thoughts to a solution?

If it shows up as 100mb/sec on the actual server then that will be the true transfer.
