Question : The user groups are only accessible by directly typing in the URL

Int he SharePoint there are user groups which only accessible by directly typing in the URL, the default takes you to the members group, but to get to the owners or visitors you must change the ID in the URL. Anyway to restore the left hand menu's on the site configuration pages?

Yes, everything goes back to the firewall.  But the firewall will have an address on each network.. so if DMZ is 172.16.1.0 then GW is 172.16.1.1 for example.  While LAN would be 192.168.1.0 so GW is 192.168.1.1.
