Question : Tomcat console closing

I am trying to start Tomcat 6 by typing startup.bat on command prompt. It opens a new window with some error in it and then immediately closes it. As a result I am not able to see the error. There is nothing in the logs as well.
Is there a way that the Tomcat window is not closed so that I can see the errors.

if you don't want a new window then you can run "catalina run"
