Question : SATA Hard Drive Does Not Recognize
I've got a 5 year old Dell PC with SATA HDD. I've added a new HDD which is recognized in the BIOS but does not register in the OS (XP PRO). Any ideas? It works fine in my other PC which is almost exactly the same except it has a larger power supply.
Also, I'm familiar with the old IDE jumpers, master, slave etc.. Looks like the SATA does not use that method. So how do you determine in the BIOS which drive has the OS and starts first etc.?
