Question : PIX 515E upgrade 6.35 To 7.24

So I have a 506e in place, took the config off and loaded it onto a pix 515e that was on version 6.35, config looked good, so I wanted to get this pix 515e up to version 7.24 so I can use the pix to asa converter once our ASA 5510 comes in.  I had to do this because you need to be on at least version 7 of a pix to use this converter.  The pix 515e upgrade seemed to go okay, however anytime I reload the pix I get this output every time before I get the login prompt.  It must not be converting the 6.35 IOS commands as it keeps telling me this everytime I reboot.  Also, something else that is strange, when I issue sh config command it still says version 6.35 and if I do a sh ver command, it does in fact say version 7.24.

Answer : PIX 515E upgrade 6.35 To 7.24

as per the show bootvar output , you have changed the boot image to pix724.bin, but you dont have that image in your flash , so try to rename the image.bin to pix724.bin ,then save the config and reload
