Question : How do I find out if the sharepoint Farm has WSS or MOSS 2007 running?

Hello Experts,

Is there any way I can see if the Sharepoint portal running is WSS or MOSS 2007? I see the server does have Excel calculation service running , but I have to install Sharepoint designer 2007 which was not there on the Server to modify content. Still I can't figure out the Sharepoint portal being running there. Its running WSS ssearch, WSS incoming email, WSS Database etc services on farm when seen in servers in farm. Does that mean its WSS not MOSS 2007?

if you have Excel Services, it's MOSS.

to tell for sure, you can look at Central Administration.  look for an SSP, or an ability to configure an SSP.  you won't have that in WSS.

or, look at the version number.
