Question : Adding Javascript to a button

On one of my shop sites I have been asked to: 'Make the Send order button another Goal called 'Send order'. How? GA (google analytics) allows you to add some JS code to the button. So that each time the button is clicked GA thinks the visitors has gone to a page'.

Does this make sense to anyone and where in the analytics settings do you find the route to this javascript?  Under setting up goals you have the option to link to pages etc but not generate javascript code to put on a button, as far as I can see.
