Question : USB Flash drive not showing in Windows 7
I have a USB stick that has stopped working on one particular laptop. The laptop runs windows 7. A similar laptop also running windows 7 recognises the stick and can use it as can a windows XP machine.
When insterted in the problem machine I get the usual "beep" and the light on the stick shows activity, however the drive does not appear at all in device manager or under the storage management.
A similar stick is recognised in problem machine, leaving me to assume that there is some entry in the registry that is blocking this device. I should mention that it was previoulsy working fine.
Answer : USB Flash drive not showing in Windows 7
I guess in hindsight (or looking back @ _agx_'s comment) the lookahead is not needed.
