Question : Access form field .DefaultValue set through VBA is not visible
Hi
Ihave a form in Access 2003 with, amongst others, a combobox and a text box. When the users are clicking on one of the entries in the combobox, I set the DefaultValue of the textbox depending on which entry in the combobox has been selected. BUT, regardless of what I do and try, the default value is NEVER shown ! The textbox is always empty, regarless of what is chosen. However, the default value is set, I see it when looking at runtime in the properties, but it is not visible ! The textbox is not locked, and it is enabled, i.e. completely normal. The code setting the default value is executed, I can follow it in debug mode, but nothing visible happens. I've been using default values and setting them with VBA code in other forms without any problems.
Anybody has an idea about what could be causing such a weird behaviour ?
Thanks
Bernard
