what will happen if the dhcp server goes down. in that i created reservations to the servers in the network.

If you have static dhcp lease and if the dhcp server goes down, the server will not be able to renew its lease and will be left without a properly configured network.
You should configure a static IP address instead. But choose an IP that is not in the range used by the DHCP server.
