Question : HP ProCurve Layer3 Switches

I work in a school division and I am looking for a good recommendation on a layer 3 managed switch.

I do not have a cisco background and so I am not comfortable going down this road at this point in time. I have heard good things about the HP ProCurve products and I am looking for a recommendation. What model(s) can you suggest for a 24 port managed layer 3 ProCurve switch to purchase for each site? As well, what other HP 24 port layer 2 switches can you recommend for the other switches to be used at each site?
