Question : How to create a test SAN environment with ESX server

Hi ,

We want to create a test environment where we want to check the SAN storage with the ESX server .

Currently we have licenses for ESX server , a Qlogic SAN switch , test 2 TB storage space on one the machine and Fiber cables to connect the ESX server , switch and storage .

Will i need some kind of software on the storage array ?

Zoning determines which servers can see which controllers on the SAN.  Then normally there is a web interface or some Windows client to configure the actually storage LUNs and assign them to the WWN of the ESX box or other server controllers.
