Question : type of card device to use with Dell Latitude D800

I have a 2005 Dell Latitude D800, I want to install a Firewire adaptor on it in order to connect a scanner. There is a 55mm card slot in the side that has a plastic placeholder which I can eject. I am told I need to determine whether the card is an Express Card or a PCM/CIA, in order to purchase the right Firewire adaptor. How do I know which I need? Thank you.

Answer : type of card device to use with Dell Latitude D800

It's a PC Card connector & supports one Type I or Type II card so you can use PCMCIA cards or CardBus cards

The cards supported are 3.3 V and 5 V PC Card with 68 pin connectors

The D800 uses a TI 7510 CardBus controller
