Question : iPad secondary SMTP Server

I can not always send mail through my Hotmail account the smtp settings are smtp.live.com.  Is there a secondary SMTP server that I can use for when this is down.  On my iphone i have cwmx.com.  Can I use this on my iPad too?  Any other suggestions?
