I am experiencing an issue with snapshots hogging all of my C: drive space on my Hyper-V Server. The snapshots are currently being saved in the default spot. If I stop my VMs and manually delete any of the snapshot files, I am not able to start my VM again, as I get Hyper-V errors, even though there are no snapshots listed for me to access when in the Hyper-V manager.
What can I do to free up hard drive space? If I rename the current snapshot files to VHDs, and merge them with my VM hard drive, and send them to another partition, will this work?
