Question : Changing workstation domain in SBS 2008 network
I have an XP workstation and I want to change its domain from hprs.local to ohprs.local and join to to a SBS 2008 network. I went into Control Panel > System > Computer Name > Change, and tried to change the domain. I got the message shown in the attached image.
The SBS 2008 host *is* ohprsl.local, and I can ping that server from the workstation, so I know the physical connection exists.
What am I doing wrong?

Answer : Changing workstation domain in SBS 2008 network
I do this in two steps. Change it from the domain to a workgroup. Then change it to the new domain. That should do the trick for you.
