Question : MS Access over VPN
Have a customer who occasional works from home connected to the office by VPN over ADSL. All is well except when he tries to open MS Access databases. The size of which is around 5Mb each.
It takes around 5 - 10 minutes to open each one and then performance is unusable. The DB is an .mdb, and the .ldb is created back on the server's shares.
Can anyone suggest a better way of doing this? He has tried to split the DB, but that didn't appear to make any difference
Thanks
Jim
