Question : How do I alter this flash file?

I have been developing websites for some time now but I am an absolute beginner when it comes to Flash. I purchased a template from template monster. The Flash portion of the template is what I need to alter. When I open the flash file, I do not see all the buttons, etc to be able to alter them. See attached image screenshot 1. I am using Flash Professional CS4 and I need to remove some of the buttons and change the text on the background. Can anyone help me understand what I am looking at and where to make these changes? Attached is the .fla file.
