Question : Using IAS Authentication logs to document VPN User access to network via ASA 5520

We are trying to get the best set of instructions and considerations for configuring IAS on a 2003 Standard Server (global catalog server and AD domain controller) for authentication of our VPN Users. They are currently connecting over VPN via an ASA 5520 and we need more logging and identification as supported by IAS to determine who's connecting, how long and what times, etc... How should we configure IAS and the ASA to accomplish this task?

Answer : Using IAS Authentication logs to document VPN User access to network via ASA 5520

This article ( http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_configuration_example09186a00806de37e.shtml ) should cover what you are needing for getting authorization working with IAS. I have not tried radius accounting to IAS, nor has my brief research turned up any. However if all you are needing is who, how long, and what times that information should be fairly easily harvested from your windows event logs.

Good Luck
