Question : Windows 2008 R2 Virtual machine  problems impacting host

What types of problems in a 2008 HyperV VM can spill over to the host? In other words can something go awry in the VM causing the host to crash?  Examples:

Program that crashes the VM crashes the host?  

Virtual hardware misconfiguration - too much/too little RAM allocate in VM, processor allocation in VM?

VM tries to access some physical device on the host - e.g. USB, ESATA?

I know you're asking for way of listing avi files in Windows 7 by the codec type?
Did you know you can use VLC to analyse what codecs are in the clip your playing?
Drop your avi on then pause it,. go to tools Codec Information, then Statistics if you need more.

Install a codec pack,, or ffdshow and a divx player so that windows media center also supports them,

I use Super video converter to recode them to a better divx  anmd or Virtual dub
