Question : Bluescreen with Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown.

Hello,
I kept getting a bluescreen with Vista and upgraded to Windows 7.  My laptop was fine for over a month and now it is happening again.  It seems to happen whenever I plug in a flash drive or ext drive, but I can't be sure if that is what is causing the problem or not becouse sometimes they work fine.

Here is the message I get when Windows comes back up:
Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown.

Answer : Bluescreen with Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown.

can you post the minidump ?
also - sometimes bad ram is the cause, so test it with memtest86+ from www.memtest.org
more helpful info : http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/37716/

you can also try this :
- boot up in safe mode - use F8 key
- delete  folder "WER1.tmp.dir00" of all the users on the pc
- delete all in c:\windows\minidump\
- do a disk scan for errors - it may say it requires a reboot
- then reboot, let it scan
and reboot to test
