Question : What is Ssms.exe

I have a process that beginning to lug down my processor by taking more 50% of the CPU resources. I am running MS SQL Server 2008 and want to make sure that the file is not related.  Looking in Task Manager, the file is Ssms.exe.  I would have thought MS SQL Server would be loading under a "System" user name. Some sites have this listed as a virus and remove, but I want to make sure before I do so. Please assist.

ssms.exe is SQL Server Management Studio. Do you have this running?
