Question : Windows 7 redirected folders don't appear offline using SBS 2008
SBS 2008 server, redirects work great on and offline with Windows xp pro. Using a new Windows 7 Pro. Redirects work as long as connected, but when not connected, they don't appear. Entire desktop blank, can't access any files. So, I did some research and it seems in Win 7, there are all kinds of things that I can modify in Group policy on the computer itself. But, there's an awful lot. For instance, all the stuff under user configuration->administrat
ive templates->network->offlin
e files and under computer configuration->administrat
ive templates->network->offlin
e files
But there's a ton of configurables - ie. configure background sync, allow or disallow use of the offline files feature, etc.
Can anyone give me the list of all the settings I must make on the computer to allow redirected folders to appear? It's amazing to me that it is so frustratingly hard to configure on win 7!
