Question : can I disable mail for an Exchange user?

I have a new SBS 2008 system. I have one "user" configured who is not a real user. This account is strictly used for a Samba login in order to backup files. I don't want mail going to this account.

In EMC I have checked the "Hide from Exchange address lists" box. Is that sufficient? Is there any way to disable mail? I've tried removing this account's email address in SBS Console > Users > (this user) > Properties > General, but it won't let me do that.
