Question : Marvel BIOS issue
Hello,
I installed the following motherboard and chip:
1) ASUS P6X58D Premium - LGA 1366 - X58 - DDR3 - USB 3.0 SATA 6 Gb/s - ATX Motherboard
2) Intel Core i7 Processor i7-930 2.80GHz 8 MB LGA1366 CPU, Retail BX80601930
I receive the following message when the computer is booting up:
Marvel 88SE91XX Adapter
Disk Information:
No Hard Disk Detected!
The computer boots up just fine. Is this error message important? Why is it happening, and what can I do to address this?
Thanks,
Gary
Answer : Marvel BIOS issue
That's the RAID controller - You should be able to safely ignore this error unless you expect to use the onboard hardware RAID. You can probably go into BIOS and disable the RAID controller and stop seeing that message.
