Question : The device, \Device\Harddisk3\DR3, has a bad block.

The device, \Device\Harddisk3\DR3, has a bad block.   Event ID 7.

Hi,

Ok. I know what a bad block is.  And I think I know what harddisk3 is (Disk 3 in the device manager).

But what is "DR3"?

I'm also kind of wondering why windows is reporting this rather then the drive relocating it to a spare sector.

Disk3 is a Seagate Baracuda 1.5 TB Sata drive.

Hi, Sharath.

I don't think that MSTSC supports drag-n-drop between the host and client.  You can copy and paste though.  If that doesn't work, then the best solution I can think of is to switch to VNC.  It has a file transfer capbaility built in.  The version I recommend is UtraVNC
