Question : WSS 3.0 back to original

I had a client that ran some Windows updates and had issues with his WSS 3.0.  I looked at it and ran the cofiguration wizard a couple of times to see if that would resolve it.  After carefully looking at the DB, the config db was locked.  I unlocked it but still couldn't authenticate.  His WSS 3.0 is on one server with SQL express and he has the SQL DB Server on another box.  I uninstalled the updates that were installed around the dates he explained and ran the wizard again.  This time it tells me that Sharepoint has to disconnect from the farm.  Now Sharepoint is back to the original state. How or can I point it back to the DB server to retrieve the data?

Answer : WSS 3.0 back to original

>> my question is if you use m32 flag, is there a limitation of the ram that you can use

Since the address space becomes 32 bit the maximum memory a 32 bit process can possible address is 4GB. That said, in reality the amount of user memory is a lot less (usually 1 or 2 GB) since the rest is reserve in the processes memory map for various other reasons (such as for use my the kernel to map devices - this is probably a poor example).
