Question : update records in sql table form another table

i have a sql table1 with fields 1, 2, 3, 4,5
I need to do something like
update sqltable1 set field2=field2 value from table2
where field3 in table1='thisvalue'.

how can i achieve this? any suggestions would be greta. thanks

In Linux, you will get an error if you cannot access the file.  For the OS you should be fine doing live backup, some applications using database like mysql require special backup procedures.

In Windows, you normally use the System State option to backup the live OS files using Microsoft VSS (Volume Shadow Services) which keeps a current snapshot of open files.
