Question : Demoting Primary Domain Controller will delete my users??

OK, so I have 3 Domain controllers in my AD.  GUSD1, GUSD2, and GUSD3.  The primary domain controller is GUSD1.   Somehow the DNS got screwed up on GUSD1 and my zones are now gone and I'm  unable to re-add them.  If I demote the primary controller, will I lose all of my user stuff?  The other 2 controllers are fine.  In fact, one of my co-workers is currently entering users in GUSD3 as we speak. Help!!
