Question : cannot connect to virtual machines in hyper-v console

HI, i have a 2008 hyper-v system with 2 virtual machines running.
This morning i went to connect to one in the console. And all it does is say connecting to server name. And thats it, then says not responding.
In event viewer i get
event id 1002 - application hang
the program vmconnect.exe version 6.0.6002.18005 stopped interacting with windows and was closed

the virtual machines seem to be running fine. But i haven't setup any remote access programs on them to be able to edit them.

any idea's
