Question : Windows SBS 2000

Hello,

I have a Windows 2008 server that will join a Windows 2000 SBS.  Can both servers be domain controllers at the same time?  I realize I am unable to demote the SBS server and remove it from being a DC, but can both live together?  I would want them both available to not only mirror each other, but eventually remove the SBS server.

Answer : Windows SBS 2000

yes, as long as you dont change the Domain or Forest functional level up.

They will "mirror each other " in terms of domain users/computers etc etc - and you will just have to move any SBS resources (such as Exchange) to different hardware befoer you demote the SBS server.
