Question : I cant' Setup Windows 2008 Cluster with 2  HP Prolient 360 G5?

I have two RAID partitions and Windows 2008 R2 will not setup a cluster storage. I get this message when using the cluster validation tool;

RAID Disk bus type does not support clustering. Disk is on the system bus. Disk partition style is MBR. Disk partition type is BASIC need to use iSCSI or SAN.I need to setup a SQL 2008 Fail over cluster with these two boxes. Any work arounds or suggestions?

Basically what it´s saying is right. You are tring to use LOCAL storage as the quorum disk. This is not possible, the whole idea of the cluster is that if one machine goes down, the other can take the resources and continue. If box A goes down, local storage goes down too.

You HAVE to use shared storage, iSCSI / SAN. You can emulate it with tools like starwinds, freenas, openfiler or use a SAN at your place.

Let me know if you have further questions.
