Question : Vmware vSphere: Number of iSCSI path selection is not right

Hello Everyone;

Can someone help me figuring out what is wrong with my setup ?

We have Dell MD3000i Disk Array (4 iSCSI connections) connected to 4 ESX server via 2 Cisco Switches (2 vlan) per switch.

We have each iSCSI connection running on it's on subnet & I also made sure that we have every vmnic per uplink. (see: esxcfg-vswitch-l.JPG)

when I connected my iSCSI links to my Disk Array (5 LUNs) I found that the number of paths on my iSCSI link is not right.

Since we have  5 LUNs X 4 Active iSCSI Links = 20 paths. Why it is not right in may case here ? (see iSCSI-18, iSCSI-48,)

I found that each LUN has 8 default paths and when you look at the path selection (please check Path-Selections.jpg).

Can someone tell me why it is showing this way and how to correct it ?

Thanks

Answer : Vmware vSphere: Number of iSCSI path selection is not right

I found the problem and I was able to fix it, the issue was that I added all hba IP Addresses under the dynamic tab of the iSCSI properties and that made iSCSI ran discovery like hell, SO I removed all the hba IPs and added just one single IP and that made the discovery correctly. Now I can see 2 Active and 2 Standby which is acceptable.
