Question : Clearing Status Reports

I am using the built in SCCM report called: "Status of a specific advertisement."  This is the report that tells you how many clients Accepted an advertisement and succeeded, etc.   A collection was made that inadvertently pulled in every machine. The collection was corrected however I now have over 4000 machines with no status in the advertisment.  How do I clear this and make sure those machines do not install the software?

Unfortunately, I do not believe there is any other option besides creating a new advertisement.
