Question : RAID Configuration for SQL Server 2008 Enterprise R2

Hi Everyone

I am currently in the process of installing a new SQL Server and need confirmation that I am doing the right thing. I know there are many solutions on this subject but I can't seem to find one that matches my number of disks.

Spec is:
Windows Server 2008 R2
SQL Server 2008 Enterprise R2 (with data warehousing, anaylsis services and reporting services installed)
HP DL380 G6
Quad Core Xeon 2.8GHz
12GB RAM
Embedded P410i Array Controller
2 x 72GB 15k SAS HDD
6 x 146GB 15k SAS HDD

I'm planning on configuring the 2 x 72GB as RAID 1 for the OS and SQL binaries
and then another RAID 1 with 2 x 146GB for logs
and then a RAID 5 with the other 4 x 146GB for data

Does this seem ok?

Could I use RAID 10 or 50 anywhere for better performance?

We have 50 users.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Neil.
