Question : WSUS Clients not reporting to the WSUS console or SBS 2008 Console

Hi Guys

I have been struggling with WSUS since I migrated from SBS 2003 - SBS 2008.

Initially the updates started queing in the SBS console and then once I configured WSUS the updates stopped queing and I revieved the following messages:

There were no errors in deploying the updates
No updates in progress
No optional updates available for deployment

I ran several repair guides which eventuallly fixed my issue where the SBS console crashed once I clicked on change the software update settings. This is at least not happeninig anymore.
I have also re-done the sbs repair guide for WSUS.

My only problem seems to be that my computers are not displayed in the console for updates. Also my SBS 2008 server doesn't seem to display or qeue for updates.

The status summary on my WSUS console states that "your WSUS server currently shows that no computers are registered to recieve updates". I have run the how to setup a client computer to receive updates guide, and now also reverted bacvk to the detailed Step by Step guide to getting statred with WSUS SP1, although I am running SP2.

I just seems like the computers cannot be seen by the server, and that they dont qeue for updates. The repair guide seems to say open the group policy editor , expand computer configuration, administartive templates, etc but it doesnt state for which exact GPO this must be done. It just says open group policy editor.

I hope I am just making a silly mistake somewhere, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Maybe is is just a policy setting, but I have tried to follow the guide to the point but for s tep by step guide it seems to like to skip a few steps in telling how to get there.

Thanks in advance!
