Question : Compact and repair doesn't work on a shared folder

If I enable the compact and repair option on close it work well on my machine.

If I place the db on a shared folder, Access creates a new compacted db. How can I avoid this?

Answer : Compact and repair doesn't work on a shared folder

Compact and Close will only come into effect what the last user closes the mdb, because C&R cannot occur if an LDB file is present.

Further, I would recommend turning Compact On Close off ... and do a manual C&R daily.
