Question : Delivery Status Notification (Delay)
In investigating why we get Delay Notifications when sending a message in Outlook, using an Exchange 2003 server, I was following NashvilleGuitarPicker's suggestion as follows:
Open a command prompt
Type NSLOOKUP and press enter
Type SET TYPE=MX and press enter
Type in the domain in question (in my case yahoo.com)
What comes back is or domain controller information and
DNS request timed out.
Does my problem relate back to our DNS service? We have recently gotten a new domain server running Server 2008.
Answer : Delivery Status Notification (Delay)
Thanks for all your inputs. Turns out when the company installed our new 2008 server the DNS wasn't installed properly. All is well now.
