Question : Install issue: XenApp 5 Feature Pack 3 on W2K8x64

I'm implementing a new XenApp server in my farm using XenApp 5 Feature Pack 3 on W2K8x64. I ran into an error while installing that led to an installation failure. I googled and found the following that completely descibes my error messages and install behavior, but the article's resolution doesn't seem to apply (perhaps because it is based on 2K3 info).

If you've seen this before, or if you have an idea, let me know. I'll be grinding on it either way. right now, i'm just uninstalling all CTX apps and starting over with the XenApp install. I'll let you know if i come up with a solution.

Cheers!

You dont need to update your whole farm. I would go R2 to XA6 - it will be a new farm, which is okay, you want it separate so you can run long term. Use 1 licnese server so users can launch apps on your current farm and the xa6 farm and only consume 1 license. Within web interface and pnagent, add the xa6 farm so users see the new apps. You are right, mounting the iso should work fine. I would get the new app streaming profile tool, its on the xa6 iso and isolate office 2010 - it works very well - rather than installing 2010 on the R2 server.
