Question : Configuring Netgear ProSafe DGFV338 for VPN Pass-through

We currently use a SBS 2008 server. Infront of this server is a netgear ProSafe DGFV338 router.

The server is all configured for VPN use but the firewall seems to be very tricky to configure. Ideally I want the router to pass-through the VPN traffic to the server. We have created a rule to forward traffic but we still can't connect.

Answer : Configuring Netgear ProSafe DGFV338 for VPN Pass-through

VPN traffic doesn't like to be altered.  When VPN traffic traverses a firewall, the firewall NATs the traffic causing the packets to become altered.  What you need to enable is VPN pass through.  Whilst logged on, go to Security, Firewall Rules, Attack Checks.  Enable the VPN  pass through options you need.  Make these changes and post back your results.
