Question : db connection error running app as service
I am trying to run an app that connects to DB using OLEDB. The app runs fine in a cmd window. If installed as a service I get a "connection failed" DB error. The strange thig is it happens on virtural machines- not any virtual m/c because the app is installed and running as a service in many client places. There seems to be some virtual m/c setting that is causing it to fail in the service mode on this VM (running 2003 enterprise server). Any help appreciated.
