Question : iphone activesync push constant sync and battery drain problem

One of our network admins, Jon, has an Iphone 3G using our Exchange 2003 SP2 activesync and is having an issue where the Iphone seems to constantly break the HTTP sessions and then sync all folders repeatedly and drains the battery, rather than leave the session open and recieve the push from Exchange when a new message comes in.  This started 2-4 weeks ago it seems and there is at least one other user, maybe more that has the problem.  Jon also has an Ipad that works fine with his mailbox, the Iphone works fine using a different mailbox and the Iphone has the same issue over Wi-Fi.  The issue may correlate with a Windows 2003 SP2 install on the Exchange front-ends, or, more likely, a mailbox move.  When Jon looks at the network traffick from the Iphone, he sees constant traffic when connecting to his mailbox, but only what looks like update traffic when connected to another test mailbox.  We've not had issues with devices or providers breaking the sessions that i'm aware of, and it works fine with many other devices.

Thank you for any advice!
Matt

Answer : iphone activesync push constant sync and battery drain problem

The problem was resolved for Jon by moving his mailbox.  I'm thinking the move cleaned some sort of corrupt messsage or meta file up in the mailbox.  I'll be moving another user over night that i believe has the same issue. Jon had already cleaned his mailbox up.  The nmumber of items was at a good level.
